- Next, add some parmesan cheese and olive oil to make a smooth paste.
For the Pasta Salad:
- Take a large bowl and pour in sufficient water to cook the pasta properly. It would be advisable to add salt to the water now, allowing the pasta to be seasoned from the beginning. Allow the cooking process to take place for 7- 10 minutes at high flame.
- Once cooked, drain the water and cool down the pasta with water.
- Now, once again drain the water used to cool the pasta and place it in a bowl along with finely chopped spinach, basil, tomatoes, and the already prepared basil pesto.
- Mix it well, and to add to the visual appeal, add some finely chopped parsley on the top just before serving.
Things to Remember
- Cook the pasta well; undercooking or overcooking can spoil the experience of this dish.
- Add the basil pesto to warm pasta to get an even texture and allow it to be easily mixed.
- Time is of the essence to get the best results, so make sure not to make the dish far in advance, as a cold dish will ruin the flavors.
- Experimenting is a trait of a true chef, so try customizing the ingredients to obtain newer flavors and nutritional values.
- Pay attention to the final presentation, as a good-looking dish is certain to give a good first impression!
